Ten-time Canadian rally Champion Antoine L’Estage has registered for the final round of the Latvian Rally Championship, Rally Liepāja. Co-driven by fellow Canadian Alan Ockwell, he will be competing in the recently built Neiksans Rallysport Ford Fiesta NRC Prototype.
The former driver of Subaru Rally Team Canada, Antoine L’Estage, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to cross the Atlantic Ocean to gain new experience with Neiksans Rallysport – even though we have registered for the Latvian championship rounds, the competition covers all the stages included in the European Rally Championship!”

“I am honoured and proud that such an elite driver, a former Subaru Rally Team Canada driver will be the first one to compete in the first car we have built from the ground up – Ford Fiesta NRC Prototype!” begins Neiksans Rally Sport director Māris Neikšāns.
“I met Antoine when competing in the Big White Winter Rally in Canada. A word after another, and we concluded that he would like to try something new, but not in a Group N car. At that time, I did not have anything to offer, but, during the build of our Ford Fiesta NRC, I realized that the car might interest a driver of his calibre! And that is how it came to be – we got in touch, went over all questions, wrote down the answers, and Antoine is now on his way to Liepāja!”

“We have been building the car since November last year, and the process is nearly complete now – I can definitely say that the competition debut of our Group Proto car is the team’s most important event of the year, and we are preparing accordingly. We will have tests before the rally, to make sure that both the crew and the car are ready for the competition!” says Māris Neikšāns.
